Jubilee Cup

The Final of the Jubilee Cup which is scheduled for Sunday 16th July will be contested between Benfield, Newbiggin B, NSWE & Ponteland A

 
Edwardson Cup

Holders Backworth are in contention to retain the title and will entertain Gosforth in the quarter-finals, whilst last years runners-up Fossway travel to Cramlington. New Delaval who are taking part in this competition for the first time will host St Georges and in the final tie Portland host Ponteland.

Northern Counties

Cumbria inflicted a heavy defeat on Northumberland in the opening fixture at Courtfield BC. 155 shots to 73

 

Muras Cup double header

After a promising display against Durham last Saturday (SCORES) all 24 players with the exception of Michael London, Peter Dawson and Brian Houghton, who are not available, together with Daniel Bennett, Darren Parkes, Roy Godsmith, Simon Richardson, and Steve Pallas are included in the 26 man squad for the Muras match against Yorkshire on Saturday morning at Silksworth B.C.

 

2-Bowl Singles Championship

The quarter-finals of this event are scheduled to take place on Monday 29th May, in fact one tie has already been completed with Backworth's Johnny Morgan defeating Portland's Gren Richardson (15-14) to book his place in the semi's. The remaining quarter-final ties are as follows: S Richardson (G) v M Bennett (G); P Harvey (G) v J Minto (G); S Taws (PD) v A Johnson (FS).

Top Club

Eight Northumberland clubs entered this years event and will face severall gruelling rounds if they are to reach the final stages. Gosforth who have a good record in this event entertain St Georges in the preliminary round, whilst 2008 semi-finalist Backworth host Hexham House.

BE Senior Singles

The current Northumberland Singles Champion Mick McGreevy, and three past champions, head a strong field. McGreevy (G) faces a tough first round tie away to Backworth's Stan Lant.
