Middleton - Muras Cup Team Manager

Experience at the highest level of bowls, be able to command the respect of players and officials, have excellent man management and motivational skills, have excellent organisational skills, be forward thinking and innovative.

 

Job Description:

To select Middleton, Muras and County top 2 x 4 teams (White Rose and Balcomb); to chair the selection committee for these teams; to have the final choice in the selection of those teams; to ensure the full participation of all members of the selection committee in player/peformance assessment; to monitor and assess players throughout the county; Appoint Team Captains, working with the team captain on team motivation; maintain and develop a good liaison with the Alsop and U25 teams; maintain and develop team morale; have excellent man management and motivational skills; be approachable and willing to offer players advice; receive and assess reports on players; report regularly to the GPC; be actively involved in the monitoring of players in the U25's and Alsop teams to ensure progression and development of talented players of all ages through to the Middleton Cup squad; attend round of the U25's and U18's County Championship rounds; attend County Semi-Finals and Finals and Edwardson Cup Final.

 

Applicants should be made in writing to the County Secretary by 22nd September 2018. Interviews will then be carried out. Bowls Northumberland intend to have the successful applicant appointed by the County AGM.
