Bristish Isles Series

Saturday PM - On Chris's rink against Ireland's Simon Martin; at 8 ends they were 11 - 3 down. However, from this point onwards Chris's rink only lost on 3 more ends and won 24 -20. Unfortuantely this was the only winning England rink and they suffered a 35 shot defeat.

In the other game in the morning Wales defeated Ireland 119 - 107 shots. Wales then defeated Scotalnd comprehensively in the afternoon with final score being 136 - 90.

In the final games on Sunday England beat Wales (by 21 shots) but to take the series win they couldn't overturn the shots deficit (and ultimately the defeat to Ireland the previous day cost them), and again Chris's rink won (24-17). Ireland also had a chance of winning the series, especially where Wales were losing but unfortuantely for the Emerald Isle Scotland took the honours in their game 121 - 109. Wales's success is the first since claiming victory on home soil at Llandrindod Wells in 2012, and it is only there 5th success in the last 40 years.

On the series as a whole for Chris - their rink boasted a 100% win record, the only England rink to do so. The record and scores for the series for Chris is as follows: -

Scotland   23 - 14  +9           Ireland      24 - 20  +4            Wales       24 - 17  +7              Overall 3 wins (out of 3) +20 shots

This mean Chris will not be needed to go for a trial next year, as this is a reward for winning all his games.
