2019 Returns & County Dinner

2019 Returns / Submissions

To be returned to George Batey by 31st October; early returns are very much appreciated. The returns include league and cup entrees, as well as competition entrees, and membership list(s).

 

 

County Dinner 

The BNMS will take place on Saturday 3rd November. All championship, cup and league winners are expected to attend this great evening. All enquiries to George Batey.

BE Finals - Saturday 18th

Saturday 18th sees the start for our Junior Singles Player - Jack Miller (G), and the continuation of the Senior Pairs - with Palllas & Train in the last 16. 

UPDATE: Pallas & Train go down at 1/4 final stage; Miller loses at 3rd game.

Bowls England National Finals Updated

The BE National Finals for our men start again on Friday (already had Senior 4's & Junior Pairs) with the commencement of the Senior Pairs event, and then the Junior Singles starts on Saturday.

Senior Pairs Result: Pallas & Train won on extra end in morning (29 - 28).

Afternoon Result: Pallas & Train won by 12. 

 

League Fixtures - Last Date

Just a brief reminder (and I am sure most of you are aware) that the last date for any outstanding league fixtures is Sat 1st September - this is across the 3 leagues (Knight, Nines and Clegg). If anyone has any queries then please contact the League Secretary - Jim Holmes.

 

Men's Section Treasurer

The Men's Section Treasurer Ray Robson will be stepping down from this role and a new Treasurer is required by October. Ray is not only retiring from this key role but also from his current work and starting up a new life away from the region. Ray and his wife Alison will be leaving the area and moving to Spain later this year.
