Senior Rinks Final & Pairs Semi-Final

Stamina was key for all competitors today as they took to Forest Hall to play for their place in next week's final and Leamington Spa.

Northern Counties Away to Durham

This week, Friday 20th July was the Northern's turn to face Durham. Results were still not going in Northumberland's favour with only 1 winning rink therefore only securing 1 point. Overall Northumberland lost 81 - 153.

Backworth Retain Challenge

The Challenge Cup Final took place on Saturday at Alnwick BC. Teams from Gosforth, Gosforth Empire, Backworth Welfare, Crawford Park, Benfield and Hexham Elvaston competed. The winners and retaining the Challenge Cup were Backworth Welfare.


Alsop Team Manager Message

Following last weekend's successful Alsop cup game & ultimately winning the cup. The Team Manager Michael Wilson would like to pass this message on to all concerned.


Singles Down to 4

The Singles competition reached the semi-finals with all 4 home winners progressing tonight (although there was an all St. Georges's clash); 3-times former champion Richard Train (G) stayed on course for another title & now faces last years' semi-finalist Darren Parkes (ST). The other semi-final will see Roy Goldmsith (BW) play Daniel Bennett (ST).


Alsop Cup Winners

The final Alsop Cup game of the season took place against Yorkshire at Ponteland on Saturday - with winner takes all. In an enthralling game the lead exchanged hands throughout but our lads triumphed in the end, secured the win, the match points needed - and ultimately won the Alsop Cup for 2018.


Triples 1/4 Finals

Triples quarter-finals were played Friday, and saw the holders Gosforth's Jimmy Curtis lose their defence of their title, going down to clubmates Richard Train. The other semi-finalists will consist of another triple from Gosforth, Newbiggin and St. Georges'.
