BN Men's Section AGM

A reminder to all the BN Men's Section AGM will take place at the Parks on Sunday 2nd December 2018.

 

The meeting will start at 10am prompt. 

 

All papers have already been circulated to Club Secretaries.

White Rose Loss

The Northumberland White Rose (under 25's double rinks) team went down to defeat against local neighbours Durham at Gosforth BC earlier today (Sun 20th May). Durham will now go forward to the regional finals at Kirkbymoorside. The final score being 33 - 54.

 

Muras Cup Defeat

Northumberland's Muras Cup team narrowly went down to defeat in their opening game of the season against Cumbria at Dalston this afternoon. The game was delicately poised throughout with both after 5 and 10 ends the sides could not be seperated - with 28 all (at 5) and 54 all (at 10). However, over the last few ends Cumbria took a slender lead and ran out 106 to 92 winners (with rink scores being 6 - 16).

 

Mixed Pairs Dates

The Mixed Pairs Dates in the Yearbook only for rounds 3 and 4 are incorrect. The dates should read as follows: -

Round 3 By 21 June

Round 4 By 5 July

The dates published on the website are correct and have always been this way . Apologies for any confusion this may have caused.

 

Edwardson Cup Update

Backworth Welfare remained on course for a hat-trick of titles with a good win away at Collingwood. They will will now face another tricky away tie at Walker BC. There were also good away wins for Health & Security (at Seghill) and Gosforth (at Benfield) - and now face each other and also Rothbury at Westerhope.

 

Jubilee Cup Stage 2

The next stage of the Jubilee Cup will take place on Sunday 20th May - at Benfield and Cramlington. The group winners from stage 1 at Benfield were Cramlington B and Newbiggin A, and now take there places at Cramlington on Sunday. The winners of group C and D staged at Cramlington were Benfield and St. Georges - and again they will take there places at Benfield on Sunday.
