Bowls England Junior Trials

Success for County Juniors.

Following the recent Bowls England Trials congratulations go to Jessica Eley and Rachel Proctor

County game at Selby

Our Northern County Team travelled to Selby on Fiday for a game against Yorkshire.  It was a bright sunny day with a cold nip in the air.

First County Match

Our County season began on Friday at Hexham Elvaston with a Stella Logan match against Lancashire

Finals Day

Our County Finals Day was held on Thursday 12 July at Hexham (Elvaston).  The weather held out and the games were completed in lovely warm sunshine.  Because of all the wet weather the rinks were proving to be a bit slippy under foot so they had to be rearranged for the afternoon games and thanks to David Ashworth for his help in allowing this to be possible. Thanks also to the Hexham ladies who served lovely bacon butties, soup, and sandwiches throughout the day.  See photos on women's gallery. All finalists will now play in the All England Championships Leamington Spa and we wish them all good luck.

Walker Cup (Double Rinks)

Northumberland have been drawn against Lincolnshire in the first round of the Walker Cup to be played at Sessay BC on Sunday 24th June.

Walker Cup (Double RInks)

All the heavy rainYorkshire preceding our 1st round Walker Cup fixture at Sessay on Sunday did not deter us from playing our game against Lincolnshire. Although there was some water in the ditches and the green was understandably heavy it played well.
